Pista RC Boscomantico

 

La pista per automodelli è realizzata con asfalto a granula tagliente media, ricco di bitume ( legante ) e poco pressato . Il che assicura il miglior compromesso tra tenuta , usura ragionevole dei pneumatici e drenabilità.

 

The track is built with medium –small grain , this is purpose tailored asphalt formulated on our specific requirements – good grip , also on wet conditions , acceptable wear rate , and this could only be achieved with this special mix . The percentage of tar is amongst the highest around – this is very expensive ( the surface asphalted is 1850 Sq M ! )  but this should avoid that little stones come off and litter the track on the edges  when you go off-line.

 

Quasi tutte le curve hanno qualche grado di pendenza , i cordoli saranno raccordati sia nel senso di marcia che nel senso contrario ( dal prato verso l’asfalto ) in modo da evitare il più possibile ostacoli .

 

Almost all corners are banked  , 2 corners in particular , the very long corner on the right and the corner that leads to the main straight have higher angles approx 4 degrees . The kerbs are medium height and will have gentle slop sides inside and outside the corner , so that a car that misses the corner and cuts on the inside will not find a straight wall .

 

La pista non ha muretti od ostacoli.

 

At the moment no walls or any other retaining systems are in place In some point the artificial grass will not be perfectly smooth in order to slow cars down  as much as possible.

 

The track is 315 metres long , Fiorano is 294

 

Lo sviluppo della pista è 315 m , Verona Zai erano 245 , Fiorano 294.

Il tracciato è unico nel suo genere , in quanto disegnato , sul campo di visuale e non sul pezzo di terreno disponibile, La pista è contenuta in un raggio di 43 m , in pratica è un semicerchio senza due spicchi di 6 gradi , è il campo di visuale umano – 168 gradi. Da Dx a Sx ci sono evidentemente 86 m ( 43 X2 )  .Questo permette di non dover salire troppo con il palco (3 m livello piedi ) ,e aumenta la sensazione di vicinanza del pilota con il modello .

Le vie di fuga del curvone esterno e della curva della S sono enormi , cosa mai vista in altre piste dove di solito si trova il confine entro 2-3 metri .

 

The track design itself is really unique . It is based and designed on human vision as opposed to being “accommodated “ on the piece of land available . The track is inside a 43 m radius , it is basically half a circle without two lower section of approx 6 degrees each. ,what’s left is 168 degrees witch is close to human view.  From right to left you have 86 metres ( 43 X 2 ) .

This feature allows us not go too high with the drivers rostrum ( 3 m) with the benefit of being able to keep a very close eye to the model car , you can see it , you can feel it , you can control it better .  

The runaway parts off the track are huge . So you can run off ( in the fast parts ) and be sure you have nothing to hit for 20-25 metres ! Something never seen before in other tracks where you have 2-3 metres max. 

 

 

 

All’interno verrà posata dell’erba sintetica , questa soluzione molto più costosa del prato tradizionale, innanzi tutto si mantiene verde risaltando il contrasto tra tracciato e fuori tracciato , e poi permette di aver la pista perfettamente pulita anche fuori traiettoria  ( no sassi , no fango , no terra , no erba tagliata ) .Il modello che rientra non porta sporco in pista –

In pratica il nuovo asfalto del tracciato verrà posato sull’asfalto esistente creando un dislivello – questo dislivello verrà colmato con l’erba sintetica per cui quando un modello esce non trova scalini , e neanche quando rientra . Altro vantaggio di questo sistema è che non si scava il fosso nei punti di maggior uscita .

Questa è l’unica pista dove si è prima disegnato il tracciato e poi ricercato il terreno necessario , la pista inoltre raggiunge questo perfetto equilibrio tra tracciato ed esterno pista .

 

Artificial grass will be used  , no stones , no mud after the rain , no freshly cut grass to clog the engine !  It will stay green as the first day . Also when a car returns on the track after going off it will not bring stones and similar so it should stay really clean .

Another advantage is that there will be no digging  if there is a point where many cars go out .This is the first track were the same care dedicated to the track area is also dedicated to off track area. The outside is not just the outside and it is not important , it is part of the facility anyway ,and as such it is treated.   

 

 

Il tracciato ha 2 particolarità , diverso da tutte le altre piste .

 

La prima è il curvone di raggio 41 m ( lunghezza 65 m) con larghezza 6 m ( CREMONA , LA Più LARGA è 5.5 M )  da fare in pieno !  Anche questo con via di fuga che aumenta con l’aumentare della velocità .In caso di errore ci sono dai 20 ai 25 metri di via di fuga , calcolando la tangente!

 

L’atra particolarità è il rettilineo in diagonale  ( 54 m effettivi , Vr Zai 36 , Fiorano 57 , Bologna Futura 73, Cremona 65 + 15 ) .

L’entrata di rettilineo è 9.1 m ! la larghezza di più di 2 corsie dell’ autostrada! e nel punto più stretto sono 5.3 ! C’ è spazio per 2 anche 3 auto !

Questo rettilineo cosi largo permette due traiettorie ben distinte. Una partendo largo dalla curva prima del rettilineo per poi stringere vicino al cordolo e fare meno strada , un’altra tutto attaccato al cordolo per poi spalancare tutto e tutto sterzato , Tutto questo avviene a 36 m di distanza dal palco per cui relativamente vicino . Ci sono 2 traiettorie entrambe valide e c’è spazio per una terza!

La larghezza media della pista è 5.92 metri , e tanto per darvi un idea in fondo al rettilineo ci sono 8 metri tra il cordolo e la fine dell’asfalto. Per cui anche chi

dovesse andare lungo ha il modo di fermarsi , in questo punto inoltre è previsto un materassino .

 

This track is different to any other track, the 2 main feature are :

 

A huge 6 metre wide 65 metre long with a radius of 40 m . This corner will be run on full throttle ! this corner is banked , and if for any reason something goes wrong you have a big runoff area.

The other feature is the straight that is positioned diagonally and is 9 metre wide at the beginning and 6 at the end ! ( The actual straight is 54 metres , Fiorano 57 , Bologna Futura 73 , Cremona 65+15 )

This straight is so wide it allows for two lines : 1) staying wide on the corner leading to the straight will allow the driver to stay close to the kerb on the exit , 2) trying to cover as little distance as possible will give you an advantage before but inevitably will take you wider when entering the straight ! This should make overtaking more than possible . There is room for 2 and possibly 3 cars !  The average width of the track is 5.92 metres . Just to give you an idea , at the end of the straight there is almost 8 metres from the inside of the kerb and the end of the tarmac , so if you go long you have first asphalt to and then grass. 

 

 

Ci sono dei punti di taglio pista per adattare il tracciato alle esigenze dei vari modelli , siano essi auto , moto, a scoppio o elettriche. La prevalenza sarà di auto in scala 1/5.  Tutti i modelli sono comunque benvenuti. Se ci dovessero essere tanti tipi di modelli diversi , si faranno dei turni .

There are some cut off points were you can make the track shorter – this is done in order to suit all scales ( 1/10 , 1/8 , eletric , nitro , bikes etc). The majority will be 1/5 scale ,however all scale of cars are welcome, if the volume of traffic is too much on that given day , the organizer will reserve a 15 or 30 min time for each different class.

 

 

I meccanici della corsia box si possono posizionare sotto il palco. L’entrata ai box non disturba gli altri modelli e soprattutto l’uscita avviene in zona lenta e fuori traiettoria , riducendo la possibilità di collisioni .

 

Mechanics have plenty of room in the pit area . The entry of the pit area is in a slow part of the track , thus reducing collisions .

 

L’impianto prevede zona box coperta con tavoli in cemento di 3 x 2m . Tutti i tavoli sono dotati di punto luce e presa di corrente , per terra c’è asfalto nuovo. Ci saranno inizialmente sei tavoli a sx del palco e tre a Dx del palco per cui se ci dovessero essere tipologie di auto diverse che non desiderano mischiarsi ,  si possono posizionare a 30 m di distanza con il palco in mezzo.

Inoltre l’impianto verrà dotato di compressore per il soffiaggio e vasca per il lavaggio .

 

The pit area will be use with concrete tables ( 300 X 200 X 8 , ) perfectly straight , they weight over 2000 Kg each! A new layer of asphalt has been laid so your feet will stay dry under the most severe rains. The cover will a see trough part in the middle of the table , so you will finally be able to see your car under poor light conditions , and of course a curtain will be used when the sun gets too strong. There are 2 section of pit area , one to the right and a second one on the left , this will be used mainly by 1/8 – 1/10 during normal practice days . All tables have light and electricity . An air compressor and water will be provided.

 

N 1 servizi igienici , da lasciare assolutamente in ordine , come il bagno di casa propia, in caso contrario il socio prima varrà richiamato verbalmente e poi allontanato / sospesa la tessera per un periodo fino da 3 a 5 mesi . Nel caso di un pilota che partecipa ad una gara , questo verrà espulso dalla manifestazione senza diritto di appello .

 

Toilets are provided , it is imperative that toilets are kept clean at all times , this is borrowed along with the electricity from the neighbour hangar , so it is absolutely crucial to leave it clean . Any member caught doing something wrong will be suspended his membership from a minimum of 3 months to a maximum of 5 months.

If a day racer is cough , he will be rejected immediately from the race without right to appeal .

 

Il sistema di cronometraggio è già stato acquistato ed è il nuovissimo Mylaps ( ex AMB ) versione 4 con tempi disponibili in tempo reale .

 

The timing was already bought and it is the very latest mylaps Version 4 .

 

Il parcheggio è direttamente di fronte ai banchi in modo da evitare trasporti di materiale per lunghi tragitti , come accade in molte piste .

 

The parking is directly opposite the pit area benches , this will avoid long overhaul of equipment , as usually happens in other tracks .

 

The fantastic surrounding of Boscomantico Airport , is very fascinating and unique in its kind , we also are 90 m above sea level with keeps us away from fog during winter wich is quite normal for this part of Italy , They chose this piece of land to built an airport over 100 years ago .

 

 

Il contesto della pista all’interno dell’Aeroporto di Boscomantico permette non solo di essere in un contesto affascinate e unico , ma siamo anche a 90 m di altezza in modo da evitare nebbie nel periodo invernale ( Ci hanno fatto l’aeroporto 100 anni fa ! ) . è possibile che partiate da casa con la nebbia per arrivare in pista con il sole , da non sottovalutare !
